This June, in honor of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, Monarch is proud to unveil a bold new initiative designed to meet men where they are—right in the heart of the workshop.
Introducing “Hard Working Messages”—a campaign that reframes what it means to be strong by starting important conversations in an unexpected place: the toolbox.
For generations, hardware tools have represented toughness, resilience, and self-reliance. But let’s face it—behind every hammer is hidden stress. Behind every wrench, unspoken pressure. And beneath the surface of so-called “manliness” often lies silence, shame, or solitude.
That’s why we’ve reimagined the labels on everyday tools with powerful mental health messages. Because while tools help build homes, families, and futures—they can also be a vehicle for building emotional strength.
Each label serves as a quiet reminder that you don’t have to carry it all alone. That asking for help isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom. That being vulnerable isn’t soft—it’s strong as steel. And that mental maintenance matters just as much as physical upkeep.
This campaign is more than clever packaging. It’s a challenge to cultural norms. It’s a conversation starter. And most of all, it’s an invitation for men to use the tools they already trust to do the work that really matters—the inner work.
A heartfelt thank you to brilliant creative directors, Luis Núñez and Martin de Ferrari, for turning this vision into something bold, relatable, and real.
At Monarch, we believe healing doesn’t mean putting the tools down—it means picking up the right ones.
So let’s build something better.
Let’s normalize the conversation.
One tool at a time.
